An additional two individuals have been arrested related to a theft at London's Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals were injured by what is thought to be an irritant spray, as stated by police.
A man, 24, was taken into custody in Lambeth for suspected theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals are still being held, the force said.
These detentions come after a probe into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the attack, two women had stolen from them their luggage after getting out of a parking garage elevator.
A toddler aged three was one of the those hurt during the incident. A total of five individuals went to hospital for medical care and have since been discharged.
Police detained a man in his thirties for suspected robbery and assault near the scene. He was subsequently released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.
Police were alerted at approximately 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding a number of people hurt by a noxious substance believed to be pepper spray.
The attack - which police said was a standalone incident and not being treated as an act of terror - resulted in delays to rail services and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility briefly.
